On October 27th, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) will bring together leading practitioners and experts to explore issues and solutions in hazardous waste infrastructure. Led by ASCE with partnership from Civil and Environmental Consultants (CEC), the event will provide an overview of the 2025 Report Card for America’s Infrastructure which graded hazardous waste a “C”. Primary issues highlighted in the discussion include funding, permitting, and safety as well as solutions to improve overall hazardous waste infrastructure conditions.
Panelists will focus on a broad overview of hazardous waste, and key actions to drive solutions forward – from meeting capacity demands and bolstering resilience to improving financing through alternative delivery and addressing safety needs. Discussion will also center around case studies and related outcomes benefitting infrastructure in states and communities nationwide.
