The Department of Transportation (DOT) on May 16th announced a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) making up to $1 billion available for the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) discretionary grant program. Established through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), the SS4A program is designed to support regional, local, and tribal efforts to prevent roadway deaths and injuries.
Applications are due to DOT by September 15th. Throughout the month of June, DOT is planning to host a series of webinars to help potential applicants learn about the program.
