Federal-State Partnership for Intercity Passenger Rail Program

The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) on October 2nd issued a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) making over $1 billion available through the Federal-State Partnership for Intercity Passenger Rail Program. This NOFO is available specifically for projects that are not located on the Northeast Corridor and may fund efforts to expand or establish new rail passenger service, improve the performance of existing service, and replace or rehabilitate rail infrastructure. Project planning elements, such as environmental review and final design, are also eligible for funding. Applications are due December 16th.
