This week, ASCE published a new interactive StoryMap, highlighting the importance of infrastructure resilience: Ground-Level Resiliency: How Communities Can Lead.

Pathways to Resilient Communities, September 2025

The new StoryMap showcases ASCE’s Pathways to Resilient Communities, revised and published in September 2025. Pathways offers background on the increasing severity of disasters and their impact to persons and property. The toolkit promotes infrastructure resiliency through the adoption of the latest codes and standards from ASCE. Elevating issues from extreme weather and natural hazards as well as solutions, the StoryMap offers an overview of the toolkit by way of visual aids and insight.

With assistance from ESRI, Ground-Level Resiliency is the second ARCGIS StoryMap produced by ASCE following release of last year’s Infrastructure is Everywhere which highlighted the 2025 Report Card for America’s Infrastructure.

Ground Level Resiliency is available here. The toolkit, Pathways to Resilient Communities, can be found here.
