This Infrastructure Week, ASCE published a new ArcGIS StoryMap highlighting the State Infrastructure Report Card Program, which is modeled after the Report Card for America’s Infrastructure.

The StoryMap, Grading the States: A State-by-State Assessment of the Nation’s Infrastructure, explains how state report cards are developed—from convening volunteer committees and conducting rigorous reviews to releasing the final reports. It also showcases examples of how state report cards have been used for advocacy, compares grades across key infrastructure categories, highlights common themes emerging across states, and previews upcoming report cards.

Grading the States is ASCE’s third ArcGIS StoryMap, following the release of Infrastructure is Everywhere last year and Ground-Level Resiliency earlier this year.
